-nyam2 hello felloew~
Today we going to do some experiment on iPhone 2G…our project is Upgrading iPhone 2G firmware 1.1.4 Jailbreaking version to lastest version 3.0.1 using Mac OSX 10.5.7 Operating System.
Our tools (Make sure you download it first)
iPhone1,1_3.0_7A341_Restore firmware (Download)
redsn0w-mac_0.8 (Download)
bootloaders for unlocking iPhone 2G (Download)
- First update your iTunes software to the latest version, connect your iPhone 2G using usb cable and it will automatic detect what firmware your iPhone, my test iphone using 1.1.4 -peluh2 (quite old huh), Press Update to begin updating the firmware.. -suka2
2.Downloading firmware in progress…..
3.After complete updating your phone iTunes will detect your simcard unable to use (that good news!)
4.Open redsn0w-mac
5.Browse for iPhone firmware you just download *make sure it iPhone 2G 3.0 firmware! Not 3.0.1 firmware!* then click Next.
6. Press Next and select “Cydia” and “Unlock”
7.Select boot loader bl39.bin & bl46.bin and press next. Make sure dont do mistake in this step or you will crash a.k.a brick your lovely iPhone
8.Make sure your iPhone is plugged into the computer and that it is off. Click “Next”
9. Redsn0w will then guide you to put your iPhone into DFU mode.
- Hold down the power button for 2 second
- Without releasing the power button, also hold down the home button for 10 second.
- Without releasing the home button, release the power button but keep holding the home button for 30 seconds.
10. If done correctly, your iPhone should reboot and the jailbreak process should start.
“Please wait while your device is being jailbroken. Waiting for reboot.” Your device should reboot after this. If redsn0w is stuck on Waiting to Reboot, unplug your USB cable quickly and plug it back in. The jailbreaking process should continue after that. -yay!
11. Once your device has rebooted redsn0w will start uploading the RAMDisk and kernel.
12. After everything has been successfully uploaded to your device, redsn0w will have; the “Done!” message. Your device will now reboot and you should see the Cydia app on your SpringBoard. Your iPhone is now jailbroken!
p/s..give urself time to explore cydia free apps! damn too much apps
