Howto terminate Maxis Broadband

by Najib Hassan on December 20, 2008

Kon Ni chi Wa!!!

Today kita belajar tentang cara untuk terminatekan Maxis Broadband ye..

Since you are under 18-month agreement, you cannot simply terminate your account even though you cannot even update your antivirus  -hihih . Instead, they will ask you to upgrade your package subscribed to the most expensive one  -otak2 . In order to make Maxis terminate your Maxis Broadband account, you might have to complete the following steps:

1) File a formal complaint to Maxis customer service centre through email, courier, registered post or by hand (whichever do you prefer) and request your complaint ID (C xxxxx).

Your request letter may be written as below:
“I wish to terminate my account and request a full waiving for any penalty. The reason is because
my living area is not under Maxis 3G coverage and I have suffered a unacceptable slow data rate etc.”

2) Meanwhile, file the same complaint to the address below and mention your complaint ID (or you can just call the Hotline number to file your complaint)

Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC)
63000 Cyberjaya, Selangor
Attention: Consumer Protection Department

Tel: 03-86888000
Fax: 03-86881880
Complaint Hotline: 1-800-888-030
Email: aduanskmm@cmc.gov.my

MCMC will then write a letter to the Maxis General Manager and your case shall be solved very soon.

Please share your experience for those who had terminated or had submitted their complaint. Hopefully you can help others to terminate too.

Well g00d luck to you!! :hamtaro:

Now this is a damn cool entry. Sometimes, “sound direct” lebih bagus dari protokol.

Nice info geng!

rohaizad: sound direct?

Jaja: 3gp bawah jmbatan takde? haik..bukankah 3G?

saffa: Still in contract la cik saffa..

Hi all! Hmm…baru nak berjinak-jinak dengan ‘blogs’ and ‘blogging’ ni… Anyway, minta maaf ya… Nak betulkan sedikit kenyataan yang kurang accurate about Maxis Broadband tu… I sendiri ada dua unit… Satu I pakai and the second unit my brother is using. So far, Alhamdulillah the service has been exceptional. I got one from TTDI Maxis Service Centre, and the second unit from road show kat The Curve several months back. Masa u all took up the service, you all takde tanya pasal coverage ke? I sempat bertanya…and was quite aware of the minor limitations when I signed up… Anyway…kalau u all perlu lebih information, call je 1800-82-2000 anytime for assistance. I ni sebenarnya baru je surf MAXIS website tadi! :) http://www.maxis.com.my Masuk ke Broadband section…useful info… Bab contract tu pun ada… Ceritanya, kalau dah pakai lebih dari 12 bulan, dah takde handling fee charges to terminate…kalau tak salah… You all baca sendiri lah ya… Have a fabo-dabo week ahead!

Dude CJ..this guide only for who still on contract with maxis bb plan..hiyaaa..why ppl hard to understand meh~ yup maybe u’re lucky person in the earth but me and a lots 0f lowyat member got al0t of shit connection using maxisBB. btw bukan nak burukkan maxis but their claim speed up to 3 Mbps but most advance user only got 100kbps..so what u say? should we continue pay rm100+ per month only for 100kpbs speed? Pasal coverage? kami dah test every single connection type dah.. HSDPA, 3G, bla bla bla..but only certian of time we got high-speed connection and after that? back to 100kpbs again~ Hope maxis can do more about their hardware…
